Hello! Tell us all about your show!

Hello to you too! My show is called Rewilding and it tells the story of a rural borderlands community, an act of vandalism and one man who’s determined to make it all about him.

It’s a lovely laugh and it’s at 12.10, so it’s the perfect start to your Fringe day!

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

There are so many shows I’m excited about at this year’s Fringe! Top of my list are Bella Hull, Omar Badaway, Lorna Rose Treen and Ayo Adenekan. I’m also finally going to catch Flo & Joan’s One Man Musical!

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

I’ve done the Fringe a few times now, both as a solo performer and half of The Delightful Sausage! My main piece of advice would be to remember that it’s a marathon, not a sprint – so try to eat well and sleep!

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

I’ve always done my shows in the early afternoon which means I don’t tend to have too many late nights! Because I’m the first show I like to get to the venue early and pace around like a tiger at feeding. Then I do the show. After that I’ll try and catch up with some friends and watch some of their shows.

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

It’s simply got to be Palmyra Pizza on Nicolson Street!

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

You get to perform your show back to back for the whole month. There’s nothing like it in terms of becoming a better performer and you come up with loads of new material!

Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?

I’d love to bring my family but I’ll settle for a photograph of them!

What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?

Top tip: Try your very best to have rich parents! If you can’t do that, it’s very hard to save money!

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

They can follow me on Instagram, @chris_cantrill.

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

Big Noon Laughs.
