Hello! Tell us all about your show!

Sitting (In Silence) @sittinginsilence.play is a five star, multi-award-winning play by Kitty Falcon, which was first developed at the Kiln Theatre in London. The tragi-comedy explores a complex father-daughter relationship during a ten-day silent meditation retreat, drawing on Kitty’s personal experience losing her dad to suicide. The production has already received critical acclaim following it’s first run at Brighton Fringe 2025 and is currently being prepared for Edinburgh Fringe 2026.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

I’m really looking forward to seeing Sarah Roberts: Scary Movie 7 at Monkey Barrel – she’s my fave – as well as Jack Rooke’s Good Grief and Heart Beats Strong at The Pleasance.

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

I have performed as an actor at a range of venues and flyered with Berk’s Nest over the years at Edinburgh Fringe but this is my first time taking my own show to the festival. I feel hugely excited and blessed to have my work programmed at my dream venue, Summerhall arts. My main advice would be to come to the festival for a few years if you can before taking a show so you can understand how it all works! Plus bring some tupperware to save pennies if you are doing the whole month – it’s not easy on the bank account.

If this is your first time – what are you looking forward to?

I am looking forward to it ALL. The buzz, the craziness, the inspiration, the highs and lows. Taking Sitting (In Silence) has been a dream of mine for three years and I’m so proud of the hard work and dedication from the all female team

around me at Terracotta Productions, who also believe in the power of this show to save lives and raise awareness. There’s been a big build up and graft to get to this point, so it’s a moment to celebrate!
