There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

The great thing about water is that you can always take photographs of it and it will always look completely different and always tell a story. One are that always takes an interesting photographs is canal and today we are looking at one taken of the Grand Union Canal.
This photograph was taken in the town of Leighton Buzzard. I was in the area for the day and was fascinated by the canal and one thing that it does is take some fantastic photographs. This was taken from a bridge looking over the canal and that is why the photograph has been taken from such a tall height.
I really like this image as I like the depth of the green throughout the photo. The darkness of the trees allow you to focus in in the canal boats. The boat in the middle focussed your eye to go straight down the middle of the photo which creates the drama and intensity you want to feel with an image.
There is a slight lens blur on the photograph to make you focus again on the canal boat.
