Every Sunday we are taking a look at the world of books. I read a lot and always want to share my opinions on what I read, so I thought it would be fun to write reviews. Today we are looking at the third book in the Maze Runner series.

The Death Cure (2011)

James Dashner

Synopsis

The Trials are over. WICKED have collected all the information they can. Now it’s up to the Gladers to complete the blueprint for the cure to the Flare with a final voluntary test.

But something has happened that no-one at WICKED has foreseen:

Thomas has remembered more than they think. And he knows WICKED can’t be trusted …

The time for lies is over. But the truth is more dangerous than anyone could have imagined.

Positive Points

There is a lot of action in this third book that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. It is in a completely different location to the rest of the stories which means that it automatically gives it a different pace. It is a story that really does round up the story whilst also answering a lot of questions.

Negative Points

For some readers they may find it quite dark

Overall Review

This is a really good read and it makes you want to keep turning the pages to find out what happens in the story. Sometimes you can find the third part of a story a bit dull or repetitive but this takes it to a whole new level and makes it really good.
