There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

One of my personal favourite things about travelling is the food – when you are in a new country there is so much to taste or become aware of and I love it. This is why I enjoy this photograph because I remember the feeling I had when I saw these huge lemons and had to take a photograph of them.

If there is one thing that Sorrento and Italy is known for then it is the lemons – if you have never tried them then I highly recommend trying to find one and taste it raw. It is the most amazing flavour and will ruin all lemons for you.

The photograph was taken down a random alleyway in Sorrento. There was the huge market squished into this little side road which was already impressive. The I discovered the fruit market stall and saw these lemons hanging. It was wonderful and I had to take this photograph.

I like this photo, I enjoy the bright bold colours of the fruit and the composition. I decided to place the lemons in the frame at a certain angle as it makes you want to find out more about the image in front of you.

I really like the focus blue as well as it brings your focus directly to the lemons which again makes it bold and proud.
