Taste Of States – This Week – Jambalaya Stuffed Peppers

Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.

JAMBALAYA STUFFED PEPPERS

Today we are heading to the Alabama Oak Mountain Spring Fair to take a look at a meal that sounds completely full of flavour. Today we look at a dish by D’armond Catering – Jambalaya Stuffed Peppers.

Pebalmo Peppers are used as the base, it is stuffed with jambalaya that has already been made, connect sausage, Cajun seasoning, hot sauce and shrimp. Once these items are put into the pepper it is covered on top with tooth picks in to hold the lid in place. The dish is finished off by the grill with olive oil and cajun seasoning.

There is not a lot more information about these online but from what I have seen the reviews are positive.
