Sand In My Shoes – Dido

Today we are heading back to the early noughties to take a look at the single that was released by pop star Dido in the early noughties.I have never heard of this track until today, so personally, it was interesting to research.

On the 23rd of August, 2004 Dido released the single Sand In My Shoes. It was the final song to be released off her second album, Life For Rent. It was written by Dido and Rick Navels and released under the record labels of Arista and Cheeky.

Apparently, the inspiration for the song came from boarding a plane realized that she had sand in her shoes.

The single reached the top 30 in a handful of countries, including Belgium (15), Canada (28), Hungary (11), Ireland (27) and Russia (4). In the UK, reached number 20 in the charts.
