One Minute Man – Missy Elliott feat Ludacris

Today we head back to the early noughties to take a look at a collaboration between two huge music stars that dominated this era.

One Minute Man was released on the 3rd July 2001 by Missy Elliott and Ludacris. The song was written by Missy Elliott, Christopher Bridges and Timothy Mosley. It was produced by Missy Elliott, Timbaland and Big Tank and released on the record labels of Goldmind and Elektra. It was the third single to be released off of the album Miss E So Addictive which was also released in 2001.

The single may sound familiar as it includes a sample of the song Greyhound Mary by David Pomeranz. The CD version of the single had a remix version by Oxide and Neutrino.

The single went into the top 30 in a handful of countries including Belgium (30), Netherlands (4), Sweden (26) and the US Billboard Hot 100 (15). In the UK it did really well and went into the charts at number 4 in the Dance chart and number 10 in the UK Top 40.
