In 2024 we played huge theatres in Britain as support and ended shows with EDEN BLACK that builds to an anthemic crescendo from an album in 2019 called KRAFT.

The song that was the longest to write and why? 

It is hard to know as I tend to focus on how long it takes to mix a track rather than write.

There are songs I notice, as I’m recording and writing, that I feel are going to be anthems like KHROSESS from last year’s album. It remains a favourite and I spent many, many hours getting the production balance right and making the words hit hard.

Your most emotional track:

Different Cars. It’s about two close friends who vow to be there for always, but time and love result in one to leave, knowing they will take different roads and their secret love broken. A modern bi song.

Dream collaboration:

Well, someone young enough, I’ll say maybe Avril Lavigne or Taylor Monson. 

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

As years and time folds the thought enough makes me more nervous. But eventually the day arrives with excitement and nerves. But I’m an old pro so I walk on and go into role.

The hardest track to play live:

The last few albums were mostly written on guitar so I should at least be able to play an outline well enough. I think, though, a track called LEATHER DEAD.

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

Nice boots, mini hand fan, lyrics sheets, alternative outfits, Vocal Zone, Perfume, G/E guitarstrings.

Describe your fans in three words:

Some are much older and who may have followed since 2001 during my modelling years, and those in the last 2-3 years picking up on albums BLOODSAND, SVREN who tend to range from older guys to girls in their 20s.

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

My own love of music goes far. I adore music from the 70s and 80s, from classic to obscure tracks. So just as a random for today’ I’ll go for Ghosts by Japan.

What we can look forward to from your band this year

From myself, I can say a brand new full album ARTEFACT which I’ve slaved over for a year and a half. I think it might be my best work. Tracks like SPEARS / DARKLANDS are stand out favourites.
