There is so many great television programmes out there that some of the are forgotten about or they even just get left behind. So let’s celebrate the world of television.

It is always hard in this modern day world to make a successful show that lasts more then a season. It if even more difficult as a viewer, if you end up liking that show and it gets cancelled. This is the case for the show that we are speaking about today.

Hard Cell was a show made for Netflix and aired in 2022. It was quite an unusual one as Catherine Tate played 90% of the roles. It is a show in the style of a documentary comedy such as The Office that looks at the world of working in a female prison – looking at both the inmates life and the staff.

The show takes a while to get used to as Catherine Tate plays so many roles but you easily get into the swing of it and start to enjoy the narrative and her talents of creating so many unique people.

Out of all the episodes the final one is the best as it creates a whole spin on the show that makes you appreciate it in a completely different light.

I don’t want to tell you what happens but the sixth episode for me is a game changer – it makes you want to have a second season as it is just starting to find it’s pace and what it could be as a show.

When I found out it had been cancelled I was really upset – it had so much potential to grow and be a great show but it wasn’t given the chance. I hate to think if shows like the Office US were filmed today as it probably would of finished at season one as well.
