Tell us about:
Your latest single you have released:
My latest single is “Wandering & Wanting.” It’s a song about living in that uneasy space between responsibility and restlessness when you’re doing what you’re supposed to do, but something inside you keeps asking for more. It’s not a romanticized road song; it’s about movement born out of necessity, about choosing forward motion even when the destination isn’t clear yet.
Your favourite lyric in this song:
“I watch the world through rearview frames”
That line captures the anxiety and honesty at the heart of the song, the feeling that if you stop long enough, you’ll have to confront things you’re not quite ready to face.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
“Better than We Used to Be” from 1919. That song means a lot to me because it wrestles with identity and belonging without offering easy answers. It came from realizing that loving a place or an idea doesn’t mean ignoring its flaws, and that disillusionment doesn’t cancel out loyalty.
Your favourite song to play live:
“The Fight.” There’s an immediacy to it that works in any room. It’s raw, direct, and creates an instant connection with the audience, it feels shared rather than performed. It’s really an anthem to what’s going on in our world today.
The song that was the longest to write and why?
Probably “City Train”, It took the longest because I kept stripping it down, rewriting lines, and questioning my own motives. Some songs resist being finished because they’re asking you to be more honest than you’re comfortable with. But I am not sure why all my songs seem to b about running away from things.
Your most emotional track:
Definitely “Broken” The emotion in it is quieter, but it lingers. It hits especially hard when you’ve experienced loss, heartbreak, leaving things behind, sometimes because of responsibility and sometimes because of survival.
Dream collaboration:
No question it’s Ken Casey of the DropKick Murphys because he’s just such an inspiring voice in the world right now and I want to collab with people who are not afraid to get loud.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
It’s a mix of nerves, adrenaline, and grounding. Walking on stage feels like stepping into a moment where everything else falls away and the only thing that matters is honesty for myself and the people listening. I am always nervous but that ends as soon as the first lyric comes out of my mouth.
The hardest track to play live:
It’s“Broken.” Mostly because it makes me cry half the times I play it. It’s a damned if you do type scenario because if you’re not emotionally engaged, the song collapses but it’s a song that touches my emotions unlike any other tune I have ever written.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Sunflower seeds and a sleeping bag because you never know when or where you’ll end up sleeping.
Describe your fans in three words:
I think fans of my music are the type of people that want to feel something from their music. They want to be told a story, they want to connect with something that reminds them of their own experiences. Just normal people who have to wrestle with the tragedies, the tribulations and the celebrations we all face in a lifetime.
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Right now it’s “Ready to Roll” by Teenage Bottlerocket, because it just f******” rocks.
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
Well, the new single “Wandering & Wanting” is the first track on a new full length I am working on that will be released sometime in Fall of this year, it’s called “Meow” and it will be somewhere between 10-15 songs. There will also be a really cool collab with an amazing artist who calls herself “Mother O’Malley”. So a lot coming in 2026. Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all.
