Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Mixed Up World

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Mixed Up World – Sophie Ellis-Bextor

In the last couple of years, a few of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s singles have jumped back into the limelight thanks to films such as Saltburn. Well, today we are going to look at one her singles that is lesser known then others.

On the 13th October 2003, Sophie released the single Mixed Up World. It was written by the musician, Gregg Alexander from the band The New Radicals and Matt Rowe. It was released on the record label of Polydor. It was the first single ti be released from the second studio album Shoot From The Hip.

On the CD single version there was remixes, a CD Rom extra of the music video and a b side single called The Earth Shook The Devil’s Hand.

The track did well in the charts however the country that it did the best in was Denmark where it went into the charts at position at number 3. In the United Kingdom. it went into the top 40 at number 7 selling over 35,000 units.
