For The Love Of Improv – Edinburgh Improv Fest INTERVIEW – Comediasians

This month for Improv Corner we are celebrating acts that are performing at the Edinburgh International Improv Festival. The event happens between the 5th-8th of March and has some fantastic acts performing. Today we are speaking to Comediasians to find out all about them.

Tell us about:

Your latest improv show you are bringing to Edinburgh Improv Fest?

We are bringing the fun and Asian spice from our Comediasians & Friends shows to the Edinbugh improv stage!

Your favourite suggestion you have been given?

We love getting suggestions that lean into our Asian heritage! (e.g. “mango” sparking a monologue about mango turning)

Your favourite venue to perform at:

Our home stage, Hoopla @ The Miller in London Bridge. We run our monthly Comediasians & Friends nights there. Come by and join our jam section!

Improv hero:

Too many to mention, but we have to thank Do The Right Scene for encouraging us to form as a group 6 years ago.

Dream venue to play at:

London’s West End, baby! Sky’s the limit.

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Walk? We now dance onto the stage!

The hardest improv suggestion to perform and why:

Strict Asian parents. It’s 2026—we’ve done all the tropes, let’s do something fresh. Plus our parents would be so mad if they saw us…

Essential items you always take with you to a show?

Camera & tripod for socials.

Describe your fans in three words:

Big extended family.

What we can look forward to from you this year:

Hopefully more international festival appearances following Impro Amsterdam and Edinburgh. A fabulous Comediasians & Friends night every single month. And more Asian surprises to come! Follow us at @comediasians for all the lates
