Everyday this month we are looking at different songs from different films that I love and feel that they deserve their time to shine in the limelight. They are all bits of music that I love and I wanted to talk about them more in depth so that maybe you the reader can have similar experiences and understand why I like them.
Song From Soundtrack: Comptine d’un Autre été: L’Après-Midi – Yann Tiersen
Film: Amelie
Year: 2001
Sometimes films have such a powerful soundtrack that you end up up remembering the song more then the film. I have only seen Amelie a couple of times but the one thing that I truly remember is the music.
Comptine d’un Autre été: L’Après-Midi is such a beautiful piece of piano music – it is something that it doesn’t matter if you know where it is from, it will just put a smile on your face if you hear it.
A good piece of piano music can take you on a journey of emotions and this is exactly what this song does. It has so many elements that make it wonderful.
