Everyday this month we are looking at different songs from different films that I love and feel that they deserve their time to shine in the limelight. They are all bits of music that I love and I wanted to talk about them more in depth so that maybe you the reader can have similar experiences and understand why I like them.
Song From Soundtrack: Just Blew In From The Windy City – Doris Day
Film: Calamity Jane
Year: 1953
Calamity Jane is a great film – it is uplifting and has some. great songs in it. I suppose some of the topics are out of date but if you take it for what it is, the film is very good.
One of the songs that is fun in it is the song Just Blew In From The Windy City. Doris Day’s character is telling the people in the town what Chicago is like as a lot of the cowboys have never been and it is like a completely different world that they are not aware of.
This song is really catchy and it is also a great part of the film – it has some fantastic choreography and makes a great musical piece.
The track really is fantastic and even if you don’t get a chance to watch the film, listen to the song.
