Everyday this month we are looking at different songs from different films that I love and feel that they deserve their time to shine in the limelight. They are all bits of music that I love and I wanted to talk about them more in depth so that maybe you the reader can have similar experiences and understand why I like them.
Song From Soundtrack: Romani Holiday – Hans Zimmer
Film: Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows
Year: 2011
The Robert Downey Jr film versions of Sherlock are a funny little thing. Whilst the films are not so bad, the accent isn’t great. One thing that is great about the films are the pieces of music on the soundtrack.
Out of all the pieces of music, I would say Romani Holiday is my favorite. There are so many different elements to love about this song as it sort of builds up then goes into a bold Victorian Modern sounding track. It is full of great moments that make it fantastic for an action film.
Hans Zimmer is very clever with music as he knows ways to manipulate it to make these big and bold adventures in this minute or so and that is exactly what he has done with this track.
