For The Love Of Film – Day 13 – Put On Your Sunday Clothes

Everyday this month we are looking at different songs from different films that I love and feel that they deserve their time to shine in the limelight. They are all bits of music that I love and I wanted to talk about them more in depth so that maybe you the reader can have similar experiences and understand why I like them.

Song From Soundtrack: Put On Your Sunday Clothes – Barbera Streisand and Michael Crawford
Film:  Hello Dolly
Year: 1969

I am not the biggest fan of Hello Dolly but it is a film that I grew up with as family members loved it so I was always around it. I do however like some of the songs from the film. I think a couple of them I started to like more when they appeared in Wall-E

I really enjoy the song Put On Your Sunday Clothes as it is uplifting and really easy to get stuck in your head. It has a really fun chorus that is enjoyable for everyone..

The great thing about the older musicals is that they have some of the best songs. This is such a classic and also has a great dance routine as part of the film.
