Whilst the centre of Edinburgh is so easy to find food, I find that it is much harder to fine somewhere for lunch in Haymarket. I had to visit the other day an whilst there are choices, they are predominantly restaurants. I just chose the first place that looked decent and that is what we are discussing today.
Panificio Bread and Bakery is located on Maitland Street, directly diagonal when standing out the train station of Haymarket.
It is open everyday apart from Sundays. It is a place that serves a good range of focaccia sandwiches and Italian pastries and coffee.
Whilst the staff are friendly, be warned that they are incredibly slow at making sandwiches. So if you are in a rush that this is not a place for you. Saying that, the food and the drinks are really good. So I would say give it a try if you are having a leisurely day but have a pastry if you are in a rush.
