All this month we are celebrating acts that you need to look out for in 2026. Today we speak to musician about a really busy 2025 and an even busier 2026!

Hello tell us all about yourself?

Hi, I’m Sandy, I play guitar and sing songs. I have always enjoyed entertaining, starting with my family.  I learned ventriloquism at 10 years old, then started learning to play guitar at 14 years old, then wrote my first song when I was 16. And I’ve got Issues.

How was 2025 for you?

It rocked! I wrote 14 songs and released an album, and performed for people at shows and comic cons – so it was a very good year

What were the top 3 highlights for you?

I released my first album of original songs, Issues, in October, and I performed at NorthEast ComicCon in New England and Chiller Theatre Expo in New Jersey.  

What was the key lesson you learnt from last year?

I learned how to record an album of my original songs, work with producers to complete a project, and how to prepare to perform live in concert.  

What are your plans for 2026?

I would like to write and record more original songs and perform in more places.

What other shows are you looking forward to watching this year?

I’d really like to see Cheap Trick, and am always happy to see Styx again. I would love to be able to see the Stray Cats reunion. So sad that I won’t be able to see The Who live.

What styles do you hope to see more of in music this year?

Singer-songwriters getting more radio play and concert appearances. I’d really appreciate better production in all genres, without as much compression, allowing for a more lively sound and feel.

Who is your band / musician that is your ones to watch in 2026 and why?

I’d like to hear an album from Sugar Fix, and the Bennet Hall Band. 

Do you have any new years resolutions? If so what are they?

I don’t do resolutions, I make changes I need when I feel it’s appropriate.
