Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Otherworldly Entity

Tell Us about:

Your latest single you have released:

We just released our new song Tower, which we’re really excited about. It’s an exciting back and forth between heavy and melodic

Your favourite lyric in this song:

A fall from grace, a curse of its own. Losing faith in your own soul

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

That’s a hard choice. I’d probably have to say Sin. It’s just a fun song

Your favourite song to play live:

Right now, that’s Red Flags, which is a song that will be on our next album. Shawn (Washer) really wrote some complex drums and I enjoy watching him play it every time

The song that was the longest to write and why?

That would probably be Foreplay? Honestly, at the time it was kind of busy work for the band while I was handling more of the business end of things for that album, Cataclysm. But then they showed me what they came up with and it blew me away.

Your most emotional track:

Without a question, that’s Grief (A Letter to God). It was following my father’s death, but as a band getting through Covid, we have all dealt with a lot of loss

Dream collaboration:

That would probably be Lena Scissorhands of Infected Rain. Her voice is just so unreal, I feel like we’d off-set each other really well. We’ve been lucky enough to play with them before, and it was surreal

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Excited but nervous. We really like to push ourselves and challenge ourselves, as a group. So every show, there are aspects that are trying. You get nerves getting up to those points, then it’s a massive dopamine rush that follows when you pull it off

The hardest track to play live:

Grief, again. The emotion is so raw in it, and I feel it so deeply every time that technique and strategy goes out the window. It’s so easy to kill my voice with that song

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

Our rack, lovingly called R2. It controls our backing tracks, in ears, clicks, lights, video screens, special fx, it’s really important to our show

Describe your fans in three words:

Incredible and curious

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

Hurt – Summer’s Lost. It has some of the best lyrics that I think exist in modern Rock

What we can look forward to from your band in 2026:

Touring, and a brand new album. We’re really excited to see more of our fans in-person
