There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Is This Christmas – The Wombats
Today we are going to look at a single that you may not of heard of before – which means that this year you can maybe add it into your Christmas playlist collection.
On the 15th December 2008, the Indie band The Wombats released the single Is This Christmas. The track was written by the band and released under the record label 14th Floor Records. The single was not part of the album however it was released on the compilation The Best Kids Christmas Album In The World Ever Ever!
At the beginning of the song there is an introduction from Les Dennis. The song was also created so that all the proceeds went to the charity MENCAP.
The single only charted at number 49 in the UK singles chart but that doesn’t mean it was not a good song – why not give it a festive listen today!
