Movie Memories At Christmas – This Week – While You Were Sleeping

Films are something that we all look towards for escapism – the action, the humour, the romance, the animation. Sometimes these can hold so much more meaning then just an image on a screen and create narratives and memories in our own lives. Welcome to the sister article to Music Memories where we take a look at some of these personal stories attached to films.

Film: While You Were Sleeping
Original Release Date: 1995

I have been watching this film for as long as I can remember and I never get bored of it. I love the romance in it and it’s one of those films that make me believe in love and want it. I also a Sandra Bullock character I adore. I love her apartment, I remember as a kid I always wanted her appointment and to dress the Christmas tree like she did. Such a random thing but it always stuck with me that little thought.

Bill Pullman is a great love interest in this film and I adore him. You always have certain characters that you look up to and imagine you may end up with and this was one of those characters I always thought of as that sort of thing as he is one of the best rom com characters. There are some great rom com scenes with him and Sandra Bullock which make it great.

The family make the comedy in this film and there are some great moments. It really is a film that defines what a good rom com looks like. I watch this film as a tradition every Christmas I love it so much.
