The Travel Book – Travel Through A Christmas Photo – Old Bond Street, London, United Kingdom

If there is one thing I love writing about is Christmas but it is also an event that I love taking photographs of. I adore the sparkling lights of Christmas so I always take a lot of pictures. I always take a lot of images of the decorations as they fascinate me. Over the next few weeks we are going to talk about some of the photographs that I have taken over the years.

Christmas is a wonderful time in London – wherever you look, there is always amazing lights and decorations – even down random roads and alleyways you are not expecting them. Today’s photo was taken in 2023 and was discovered by accident.

Central London, near Regent’s Street and Piccadilly Circus has some of the best light displays in the capital. If you are a tourist then I highly recommend that this is a place that you visit.

I was walking down Old Bond Steet with a friend to go and visit the area of the designer shops as their displays are always unique. As we were walking down the street, there was a side path that I think lead to other shops or offices and came across this festive display.

I love this photo, I adore the way that the red lights have subtly been used to highlight the Christmas decorations around. The other lights used are white and twinkly. It is such a festive pathway that I really adored it.

I think when I think of the city part of London, this is the sort of theme I think of – clean, classy and striking. I feel this is a really festive photograph and wanted to show it to you today as it is so magic.
