Boyband Month – Day 27 – Five: Let’s Dance

All this month we are celebrating the world of the Boyband and that means that every day of November we are delving into a different song by a different band! Let’s celebrate the boyband, there were many of them in the noughties and nineties when I was growing up so let’s relook at some of the great ones out there!

Track: Let’s Dance
Artist: Five
Original Release Date: 2002

We have spoken about them every Tuesday Lunch time in November and that is Five. We couldn’t ignore them as they were a huge boyband of my time and one of my favourites and we are going to talk about one of their other great songs.

Let’s Dance I think is quite an underrated song by Five and I think it was tarnished by the fact that around this time Sean left the group and he is a paper cut out in the video. I think that could be one of the reasons why it is sort of forgotten about compared to their other tracks.

I feel this song has a similar feel to it it as Keep On Movin’, it has a really catchy chorus and is a really fun track.

It is a pop song that has all the great elements – the catchy bridge, the fun lyrics and and repeatable chorus. A song that deserves its time in the limelight.
