Boyband Month – Day 24 – Northern Line: Love On The Northern Line

All this month we are celebrating the world of the Boyband and that means that every day of November we are delving into a different song by a different band! Let’s celebrate the boyband, there were many of them in the noughties and nineties when I was growing up so let’s relook at some of the great ones out there!

Track: Love On The Northern Line
Artist: Northern Line
Original Release Date: 2000

I have no idea how long this boyband was around but it wasn’t very long. I remember them because they were in so many music magazines and I remember always opening up to adverts promoting their new music, particularly this song.

I can’t remember if I have heard this song before, I know I have seen it promoted in print many times but I don’t think I have ever made the effort to listen to it. It is a real mix of a lot of boyband genres that were around at the time that you cannot really define which one it is and that it is a bit confusing and probably used to try and attract as many fans as possible.

It is a song I think would done well if there was not a saturation of bands at the time. It is a song that I think has got lost in the archives so I thought it would be fun to celebrate it today.
