All this month we are celebrating the world of the Boyband and that means that every day of November we are delving into a different song by a different band! Let’s celebrate the boyband, there were many of them in the noughties and nineties when I was growing up so let’s relook at some of the great ones out there!

One of the boybands that was popular when I was growing up was A1. I liked a few of their songs but would never say I was a fan. There were a few songs I enjoyed and ones that still make me laugh when I think of them (try and find the clip of them at Smash Hit Awards performing Take On Me when they fly in the air it is really hilarious). I felt today it was only right that I spoke about one of the songs that I liked.

Ready Or Not is a rally uplifting song, pure boyband magic – the lyrics are cheesy, the dance beat is catchy and makes you want to dance and it is just pure joy.

It is a song that due to the style has a trendiness feel to it. Even listening to it in 2025 it has a real feel to it that if it was released today I do not believe it would feel out of place.
