Boyband Month – Day 6 – *NSync: It’s Gonna Be Me

All this month we are celebrating the world of the Boyband and that means that every day of November we are delving into a different song by a different band! Let’s celebrate the boyband, there were many of them in the noughties and nineties when I was growing up so let’s relook at some of the great ones out there!

Track: It’s Gonna Be Me
Artist: *NSync
Original Release Date: 2000

Growing up in the boyband era, I was never really into NSync as I was on the other side – Backstreet Boys, you liked one or the other not both. The one thing that always stood out with this band was the music videos. I loved the videos so much and you can read about this one here. I found that they were just so magic and creative. They had two that were incredibly iconic – Bye Bye Bye and the song we are going to talk about today.

It’s Gonna Be Me is a catchy track and it was one of the NSync tracks that I actually liked. As I have got older I have started to like more of their song but as a kid there was only a handful of them that I liked or even heard.

It’s Gonna Be Me is incredibly catchy song. It has a really fun chorus that you cannot help but sing along to. It also had a fantastic dance routine – I don’t have any music channels or internet when this was released but when I did get to see the video it always amazed me and I would always take snippets of the routine to make sure that I knew it.

It is a great music video with dolls in a toy shop and it was so unique at the time and I loved it. The song was really catchy and puts you in a good mood and makes you want to dance.
