Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Fatal Switch

Tell us about:

Your latest single you have released:

Apex” – the explosive lead single from our new EP Black Sky Anthem: Dusk. It’s our most anthemic, aggressive, and hook-driven track yet, built to blow up both live and online.

Your favourite lyric in this song:

“You kumquat full of snot, twist your face in a knot // Cuz in this game of war the ace ends up on top.”

I chose that line because that’s the one that usually catches people off guard.

Your favourite album track:

“What Would a Hero Do?” A politically charged callout track that’s bold, thought-provoking, and needed right now.

Your favourite song to play live:

“Apex” This one tears the room apart. The breakdown turns into a pit, the call-and-response gets wild, and when that chorus hits, it’s electricity.

The song that was the longest to write and why:

“STFU” Our first-ever track. We went through dozens of rewrites before Kevin Jardine helped shape it into the beast it became. A diamond in the rough.

Your most emotional track:

“Between You and I”

Written for my father, who passed suddenly from a heart attack. It’s deeply personal, but universal. Fans light up their phones every time we play it live.

Dream collaboration:

Honestly? Anyone truly inspirational and visionary. I’m open to cross-genre collabs, as long as it elevates the art.

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage:

It’s like holding your breath before diving into the deep end of an ice-cold pool. You’re never fully ready, but once you’re in, there’s no turning back.

The hardest track to play live:

Not a specific song, the challenge is hearing myself through the stage chaos. That’s the war within the war.

Essential items you always take on tour:

A change of clothes and a bottle of liquor. Both for very different kinds of emergencies.

Describe your fans in three words:

Raw. Energetic. Warriors.

A song by another artist you wish you had written:

None. I respect greatness, but I don’t envy it. I want to make my own noise worthy of spotlight and legacy.

What we can look forward to from your band this year:

New single + music video for “B.R.E.A.K.” (just wrapped filming with director Ryan Stick) Full release of the Black Sky Anthem: Dusk EP. Follow-up EP Black Sky Anthem: Dawn in production. More content, more live shows, and a major artist feature in the works. We’re also building bridges in the wrestling world, expanding the crossover between heavy music and high-impact performanc
