Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Non Talkers

Tell us about:

Your latest single you have released:

Our latest single is Weight of Doubt. It’s a song about resilience — that moment when doubts and fears try to hold you back, but you still find the strength to keep moving forward.

Your favourite lyric in this song:

“Despite the weight of doubt, I never gave in.”

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

Marco: Finding Myself Again. The song carries such a powerful sadness, but the chorus really evokes that sense of pain, release, and freedom. It feels truly powerful to us.

Evita: You Don’t Remember Anymore. It’s about my grandmother, who was always there for me, but after she got Alzheimer’s, she started not to recognize me anymore. In the song I ask, “what will I do when you’re not there anymore to soften my fall?” It’s one of my most personal songs.

Your favourite song to play live:

Marco: Lovin’. It’s one of those songs where I can pour all my emotion into it and just let myself be carried by the moment.

Evita: Glory and Fame. It’s a song where I can put all my soul and vocal power into it, and it always creates such a strong connection with the audience.

The song that was the longest to write and why?

The song that took the longest was Noa, which is about our daughter and what she means to us. We actually started writing it while Evita was still pregnant, but decided to put it on hold until we got to know our daughter better. We wanted the song to reflect her personality and bring a cheerful tone to it. By the time she was about two years old, we finally felt ready to finish the song.

Your most emotional track:

We have a few, but You Don’t Remember Anymore is definitely one of the songs that still shakes us the most when we perform it live. It’s such a personal story that every time we sing it, the emotions come right back.

Dream collaboration:

There are so many, it’s hard to name them all but if we have to pick the first that come to mind right now:

Evita: Benson Boone. I really love his songs and the energy he brings.

Marco: Snow Patrol. I’ve always admired their music, and their latest album especially left a big impression on me.

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

It’s always a mix of emotions — the excitement of connecting with the audience who’s waiting for us, and at the same time a bit of nervousness about the technical side. You hope the guitars, the microphones, the energy all flow without any issues, so nothing breaks the magic of the moment.

The hardest track to play live:

Oh Baby I Love You So. It’s a song with many instrumental layers in the recording, and live it can easily sound a bit off if everything isn’t perfectly tight. It’s been a real challenge for us to deliver the best result on stage, but also very rewarding when it comes together.

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

The smartphone, it’s essential for both of us to stay connected with everything while on the road. For Marco, his glasses and contact lenses, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to see a thing. For Evita, her make-up kit, which is always a must-have.

Describe your fans in three words:

Passionate, supportive, unforgettable.

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It’s such an iconic song, timeless, powerful, and with that raw energy that just never fades.

What we can look forward to from your band this year:

This year is all about our Weight of Doubt tour. We’ll be releasing new singles along the way and bringing our music to different countries, connecting with audiences both old and new. You can expect powerful live shows, fresh songs, and a lot of emotion shared on stage.
