The great thing about Scotland is that there are lovely cafes that are hidden away in really random locations. Today we are looking at a coffee shop that is hidden away near a loch in a place in Glasgow called Gartcosh.

Tea House On The Loch is located on Johnston Loch in Gartcosh, Glasgow right next to a garden centre. It is open everyday apart from Wednesday between 10am-4pm. It is about a 20 minute walk from the train station however there are local busses nearby that stop.

The teahouse is a sort of wooden hut that is located on the edge of the loch which means you will get some great picturesque views in the summer months.

The teahouse offers a series of homemade food that is made for order at a reasonable price. Soups, toasties, salad bowls are just an example of some of the things on offer.

If you ever find yourself passing through this way, then I would recommend stopping here and having a chill out moment.
