Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.

PUMPPLE CAKE
Today we are taking a look at a unique creation that was founded in a bakery in Philadelphia and is something that is very interesting and different.
Flying Monkey is a bakery that is located in Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia. It opened in October 2010 and serves customers Monday – Saturday 8am-6pm and Sundays 9am-4pm.
One of the inventions that the bakery created was Pumpple Cake. The dessert combines a pumpkin pie and an apple pie baked into the centre of two different types of cakes – a vanilla cake and a chocolate cake. Once they are stacked the whole thing is then completely covered with lots of buttercream. A slice of this cake costs around $8.
Sounds intense doesn’t it?
This may sound like a really indulgent cake but it has a lot of positive reviews online. Some call it a revelation and really is delicious.
