Aberdeen Comedy Festival – INTERVIEW -Shelf: The Kids’ Show

We are speaking to acts that are performing at the Aberdeen Comedy Festival which takes place between  22nd September to 5th October 2025. Today we are speaking to the team behind Shelf: The Kids Show which is on the 5th October at 2pm to find out all about it.

How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to Aberdeen?

Well, the name of our double act is Shelf and this is a kids’ show. We hired top marketing agencies and held several focus groups, spitballed late into the night, and eventually landed on Shelf: The Kids’ Show.

Tell us a little bit about your style of show?

It’s a sketch show packed with physical comedy. It’s really important to us that the show is funny for parents as well as kids, so there’s something in there for everyone. And it’s really fun for us.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing?

So many! If you have the kids with you, we think you should go see Marcel Lucont, Comedy Club 4 Kids, and Ignacio Lopez. If you can ditch ‘em, go see everybody’s late night shows where they’re allowed to swear. But above all, we are looking forward to seeing Shelf: The Kids’ Show*.

What is the best thing about performing in Abederdeen?

We’ve never been to Aberdeen before! We imagine the best thing will be the tropical weather. Don’t let us down!!!

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

A generous laugher who tells all their friends how great the show was and slips us a cool £50 on the way out.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?
