Today we are speaking to Ayesha, who is playing Lili in the up and coming musical that is coming to the Other Palace in London this month. The musical runs between the 18th September to the 12th October, it is an award-winning musical about a group of roommates exploring the bizarre tribulations of love, friendship, and all the blurry lines in-between.

Hello! Tell us about yourself? 

I am Ayesha Patel and I’m playing Lili in Love Quirks: A New Musical, which is coming to The Other Palace this September!

Tell us about the show

The show welcomes the audience in on the lives of four housemates navigating the waters of modern dating, living as housemates and our connections with career, friends and lives. It’s painstakingly relatable and funny, like your favourite sitcom in an intimate musical. 

Tell us a little bit about the rest of the cast?

The rest of the cast are so lovely! They’re all incredibly talented, and from our first chemistry reads, they’ve felt like such creative energies to play with and feel comfortable with. I’m excited to work more with them on Love Quirks. 

What is the most challenging thing about this show?

I think the music is very challenging, it’s clever, witty and specific. Some crunchy harms and big notes. But it’s exciting as they really help accommodate the characters’ emotions.
