Movie Memories – This Week – Avengers: Infinity War

Films are something that we all look towards for escapism – the action, the humour, the romance, the animation. Sometimes these can hold so much more meaning then just an image on a screen and create narratives and memories in our own lives. Welcome to the sister article to Music Memories where we take a look at some of these personal stories attached to films.

Film: Avengers: Infinity War
Original Release Date: 2018

Infinity Wars – it was te biggest film of 2018 and it meant that both social media and the press would go out of their way to break all the spoilers to the audiences. Well, I have a story that some have even stated I a a hero to even do what I did…

I neer got a chance to see it at the cinema, Actually, I didn’t see it for a long time because there was a lot of Marvel films I had not seen yet. I really liked the films but I waited to firstly watch all of them in order all over again, adding in the new ones I had never seen. Another reason I never saw it in the cinema was that I don’t really go to it anymore. I hate the fact people can eat hot pizzas etc and delivered to their seats and the crowds – just not a fan.

It was ages until I saw it – I saw it on DVD the first time. That gap between cinema and DVD was really hard – trying to avoid the spoilers was so difficult. The fact I managed to avoid all of them was such a huge challenge – let me tell you!

So many people I knew were so shocked that I was able to avoid all the spoilers but I did it! It was a great feeling to watch the film and was a great watch.

Facts about Avengers: Infinity War

  • Tom Holland was not allowed to read the script for this movie, since he revealed too many secrets for Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). In one of the promotional videos for the movie, several of its cast members are in an interrogation room refusing to reveal any spoilers, and Holland’s mouth is conspicuously taped shut.
  • Doctor Strange has been studying for a few years since his solo movie, and is now considered one of the more powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The writers also wanted to have him come off as sort of “the adult in the room” throughout the movie.
  • The filmmakers had a phrase to describe characters meeting and interacting for the first time that they called “strange alchemy.” The conflict of personalities between Tony Stark and Doctor Strange is a perfect example of this
