Hello! Tell us about yourself?
I’m a tired comedian from Bristol with knotty hair and a bad attitude. I am bringing my second show to the Fringe this year.
Tell us all about your show!
Behold! is a show about a time I was hacked online and the hackers started sending gifts to my house. It kind of blew my mind in a confusing and weird way – was this a kind or a sinister thing to do? And the gifts they sent me were…wild. It’s a show about human connection now that we all live behind screens, and how weird it felt to have these anonymous hackers sending me packages in the post like Victorian ladies. It’s a deeply silly show with no sad bits, crucially.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
Katie Norris, Molly McGuinness, Jain Edwards.
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
Keep your head down and yer blinkers on – don’t look at how other people are doing cos you’ll go mad. Try to enjoy doing your show and making people laugh.
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe
Look at my phone for 23 hours and do a show for 1 hour.
Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?
Jacket potato at my house.
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
Lame but making people laugh.
What is the hardest part about performing at the Fringe?
Bloody relentless innit.
Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?
Antidepressants.
What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?
God knows.
What would be your top three items every performer must take to the fringe?
Two shoes and one sock (if only I was allowed four things!)
what’s the secret to successful flyering?
Remember to collect them from the printers.
If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?
@amymasoncomedy on Insta and TikTok
And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?
No sad bits.
