Hello! Tell us about yourself?

My name is Jamie. I am an Aquarius standup comedian with a penchant for living

Tell us all about your show!

My show is mainly just a bunch of stupid jokes! I can’t actually say what it’s about because I’ll get sacked from my day job.

(But come to the show or dm me and I’ll let you know yeah)

How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the fringe?

My show is called Brownie, and I am half Indian, half glutton so it was the perfect name.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

There is an alternative act called Rhino Swayze who is bringing a show up this year. I gigged with him once in 2019 and he was incredible; it sounds like it would he rubbish, but it’s a mixture of juggling and mine which somehow manifests as comedy.

I also adore Andrew White, Alex Mason, Freya McGhee & Alex Farrow!

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

This will be my 7th fringe in some capacity (2nd doing a proper show) my main bit of advice would be to go to mosque kitchen every single day, worry about your health in September when the fringe is over!

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

I wake up at 5am every morning to read feminist literature, which I follow up with affirmations to the mirror, mainly about how much of a nice guy I am.

What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the fringe?

Mosque Kitchen. Mosque Kitchen. Mosque Kitchen. It has to be the good one though!

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

No surprises here. That would have to be my unofficial sponsor, McDonalds

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

Seeing friends you haven’t seen all year have a mental breakdown and then going for a drink with them and having a laugh and making it all better.

What would be your top three items every performer must take to the fringe?

A jar to make overnight oats, running gear and a yoga mat. Use them all on the first day and then never use again.

what’s the secret to successful flyering?

Being mindful that one day everything we know and love will be dust anyway
