Forgotten Songs! – This Week – Take Me There

There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Take Me There – Blackstreet, Mya, Mase and Blinky Blink

Film soundtracks are not something we speak a lot about on this article but sometimes a track pops up which I feel is great to talk about as I am sure a lot of people have forgotten about it. Today we are heading back to the nineties.

On the 30th November 1998, Blackstreet, Mya, Mase and Blinky Blink released the single Take Me There. The song was the theme tune for the animated Rugrats Movie. The song was produced by Teddy Riley and released under the record label of Interscope.

The song did well in the charts and went into the number 20 in many countries Belgium (5), Ireland (9), New Zealand (1), and US Billboard Hot 100 (14). In the UK it went to number 7 in the singles chart and number 2 in the Hip Hop charts.

As well as appearing on The Rugrats soundtrack it also appeared on Blackstreet’s third studio album Finally.
