Films are something that we all look towards for escapism – the action, the humour, the romance, the animation. Sometimes these can hold so much more meaning then just an image on a screen and create narratives and memories in our own lives. Welcome to the sister article to Music Memories where we take a look at some of these personal stories attached to films.

Film: High School Musical 3
Original Release Date: 2008
I was never into High School Musical, I only used to see clips on social media where people would take the mickey out of it – predominantly the golf dance.
In 2010, High School Musical 3 was coming to the cinema, one of my friends was desperate to see it and wanted me to come along. Our University had a website where we could watch pre-recorded television shows or films so before the night that we went, I wanted 1 and 2 back to back. I enjoyed most of the songs, I liked the first film better then the second and felt that it was a really good musical film .
When I turned up to meet my friend at the cinema it was obvious that she had invited about 10 more girls and we went into this film as a big group – which was super random. I really liked the music in the film and it was a good feel good film. When we came out of the cinema we all had our photo taken jumping in the air at the same time.
