Every Sunday we are taking a look at the world of books. I read a lot and always want to share my opinions on what I read, so I thought it would be fun to write reviews. Today we are looking at a trues story about a Hare.
Raising Hare: A Memoir (2024)
Chloe Dalton
Synopsis
When lockdown led busy professional Chloe to leave the city and return to the countryside of her childhood, she never expected to find herself custodian of a newly born hare. Yet when she finds the creature, abandoned, alone and no bigger than her palm, she is compelled to give it a chance at survival.
Raising Hare chronicles their journey together and the challenges of caring for the leveret and preparing for its return to the wild. We witness first-hand an extraordinary relationship between human and animal, reconnecting with our childhood enthusiasm for wildlife. This improbable bond of trust serves to remind us that the most beautiful experiences, inspiring the most hope, arise when we least expect them.

Positive Points
This is a delightful story about a Hare was saved and grew up within the house and land of the author. It is a really pleasant read and gives you a really detailed look into how hard it was to make sure a hare survived whilst also making sure it remained as wild as possible. There are some lovely details that make you want to keep turning the page.
Negative Points
I do not know what the physical book is like but the Kindle version did not have photos and that was what it needed.
Overall Review
A really pleasant read, engaging and uplifting all at the same time. If you don’t want any spoilers do not read ahead but the hare does not die so if you are not a fan of reading books where that happens you have nothing to fear.
