COTTON CANDY TWINKIE

We haven’t spoken about cakes a lot on this article for ages so today I thought we could delve right in and take a look at a flavour of Twinkie was re-released in 2021. Before we speak about the flavour lets delve into the world of Twinkie.

Hostess is a brand that has been around for 103 years, it is a company that is known for it’s snack cakes such as Big Wheels, Ding Dongs, Snow Balls and Zingers just to name a few. Another thing that they are known for is Twinkies. Twinkies are a sponge finger that is filled with a creamy filling.

In 2017, Cotton Candy Twinkies were originally released for a limited time and then they were re-introduced in 2021 and that is the version that we are focussing on.

The product combines the golden sponge of a Twinkie with a filling of cream that is flavoured to taste like Cotton Candy that is bright pink. Apparently there is discussions that the reason is returned in 2021 for a limited time was to celebrate spring and Easter. According to articles online they also returned in March 2022.

Each pack contains ten individually wrapped Twinkies that weighs approximately 13.58oz for the whole box. They could be purchased at the grocery store for around $2.50.

There is mixed reviews for this product online with critics stating that they taste like cotton candy but they are incredibly sweet.
