Tell Us about:
Your latest stand up show:
I am a comedian that critics have described as “daft” and “intense” and “incomprehensible” but I think I’m only one of those things. The show is a fun, ridiculous ride through a rodeo of absurdity.
Your favourite joke you have created:
The only thing coming to my mind is a thought I had the other day: If I have “mommy issues” then how could we have shared a bed for over 35 amazing years?
Though I’m not sure if that’s a joke…
Your favourite venue to perform at:
Whichever one allows me inside. Also, Bill Murray (Angel Comedy) in London. Monkey Barrel at Ed Fringe.
The joke that was the longest to write and why?
I have a “joke” where I wear a lot of hats (the show IS good) and it took me a long time to figure out that I could add more hats. I don’t know why. If you listen closely you can hear my ancestors screaming in agony over the path I chose in life.
Comedy hero:
Steve Martin
Dream venue to play at:
Wembley. No Microphone.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Sometimes anxiety. Sometimes excitement. Two sides of the same coin.
The hardest joke to perform and why:
Hats. Too many.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Turtlenecks. CDs to sign after the show. Hats.
Describe your fans in three words:
Intelligent. Polite. Non-existent.
What we can look forward to from you this year:
I’m going on tour! To Edinburgh, then Manchester, then Leeds. Then to Paris and Amsterdam, then over to Bristol and Brighton with a big show at The Moth Club in London in the middle. I will also be at The Edinburgh Fringe again this August with my variety show called Piggy Time and also a new WIP show. I can’t wait. Also, I may buy more hats! Stay tuned!!!
