There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Jesse Hold On – B*Witched
Today we are looking at a pop song I completely forgot about until Chris Moyles mentioned it and played it one morning on Radio X (!). We are going to be looking at a pop single by the girl band B*Witched.
On the 4th October 1999 B*Witched released the single Jesse Hold On. It was written by the four members of the band Ray Hedges, Martin Brannigan and Robert Hodgens. It was released under the record labels of Epic and Glowworm. The song was the lead single from their second album Awake and Breathe which was also released on the same year.
The music video was filmed at a Railway Museum in California. The single did really well in the charts and went into the top ten in Finland (6), Ireland (6) and Scotland (3). In The United Kingdom it went to number 4 and became certified silver selling over 200,000 copies.
