Welcome to the feature where we sit down and talk to bands and artists about their latest albums to find out all about it. Today we speak to Vaya about the new album Manakel
Hello nice to meet you, tell us about yourself!
Hi There and thank you for your interview. I am VAYA, singer composer performer based in Toronto, Canada
Tell us about the new album!
Well I recently released three songs about ANGELS, the first one called MANAKEL, ANGEL 66//ANGEL OF FREEDOM, is a very interesting piece straight, sharp, rock and powerful grounded on a very high level of Spirituality.
Favourite track in new album and why?
As it is in process it is hard to tell. I am actually working on a new piece of 13min. VEHUIAH is the first ANGEL ( ANGEL 1), Angel of Transformation and I hope to do the video take in Japan with my regular videomaker I love to work with. It’s been two years we have not worked together and both integrate new skills in our work process, very experimental.
Tell us a bit about the recording process, was it fun to do?
I love what I do at any time, even if it is asking me a lot of Energy, this is my Mission and I am devoted to it.
What inspired the album name?
GOD
Tell us the idea behind the album cover?
The cover picture I use for each song is a catholic pendant cross engraved with ” Child of Lord” on the back. I asked my mother for it for my birthday .
What one of your songs on the new album do you think will the most difficult to rehearse for a live audience?
All of them as I do all vocals and instruments
Why should people listen to the album?
If they are looking for Faith and Love
