Tell Us about:
Your latest single you have released:
Salamina is the title track of my new EP under the same name, which is a change of direction from my previous sound. The new collaboration with Björn Yttling (Lykke Li, First Aid Kit, Peter, Bjorn & John) who has co-written and produced the EP, managed to create an exciting shift.
Your favourite lyric in this song:
The man in the corner tells everyday life is the key.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
Far from Home
Your favourite song to play live:
Bright
The song that was the longest to write and why?
Evening Light. A song I first wrote when I was 16 years old in Swedish and I remember spending a lot of time challenging myself with new chords and harmonies at the time. Many years later I translated into English, which also requires some time to get the right meaning from one language to the other.
Your most emotional track:
Dream
Dream collaboration:
Paul McCartney
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Right before I have to spend some time alone, then gather the band to do a small ritual, and no matter how big the room is there should be small feeling of nervousness when entering the stage. Otherwise something is off!
The hardest track to play live:
Avignon
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
My analogue camera, a note book, swimming pants, and a pair of running shoes.
Describe your fans in three words:
Present, adventurous, and sensitive
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Blanco White – Olalla
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
Hopefully some more shows in Europe and time in the studio!
