Your latest single you have released:

My new single, “2 thousand 10,” is a fun, nostalgic ode to an easier time. The song’s energetic undertone gives it pace and relatability to anyone who has ever wanted to relive their best childhood memories. The chorus felt like an instant classic when we wrote it!

Your favourite lyric in this song: 

“Ya ya, ya ya.” Haha. It’s funny, but it’s true! It’s a song about longing for the simplicity of the past so I found with this particular song sometimes saying nothing lyrically is actually the best way to communicate a feeling.

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

It’s an unreleased song that I’ll be releasing soon enough. Stay tuned! I’m stoked for this next chapter of music. 

Your favourite song to play live:

“24/7, 365.” I love getting to watch everyone singalong to that one. 

The song that was the longest to write and why?

My song “matthew.” The song is about the questions I’ve been left with after losing my older brother. It took me over 4 years to write the lyrics and to find the perfect balance and tone.

Definitely “matthew” or “losing a friend.”

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

To be honest, it’s pretty relaxed! I usually try to find a few people in the crowd early in the set that I can immediately get connected to and it gives me a good indication of the crowd’s overall energy. I occasionally get a little anxious, but that’s mostly because I want the performance to be absolutely perfect.

The hardest track to play live:

“matthew.” It’s just such a personal song and it’s tough to reopen that wound every time.
