We have interviewed Leaving Eden quite a few times on this site but today we are here celebrating new music! The band have released a new Ep called Reflections and I spoke to Eric from the band to find out about it.
Hello nice to meet you, tell us about yourself!
Hi, I’m Eric Gynan Co-founder of the bands Leaving Eden & Silver Springs Fleetwood Mac Tribute (2 different bands with the same members)
The Members are Eve on Lead vocals, Alyssa Bailey White on Keys/Vocals,Jake Gynan on Drums, Rich Chouinard on Bass/Vocals and Eric Gynan on Guitar/Vocals.
Tell us about the new album
We are releasing 4 more singles with New England based USA record label Verdict Music/Sony/The Orchard. We have just released a new EP titled “Reflections.”
The theme is about looking back, reflecting on the things that have made you who you are today. We also have Our Album “SnakeHead” soon to be released. It represents Cutting the snake off at the head.
Tell us a bit about the recording process, was it fun to do?
Absolutely! Always look forward to it. We have our own Leaving Eden Recording Studio. It’s set up exactly as we’d have it. We love it. The finished product then goes to My friend Johnny K., (Disturbed, The Sickness). What we got in our own studio is time, at our own pace, time for cool production and time for getting it the way we conceived it. We look forward to it like Christmas. Other than Live, it’s our favourite thing to do.
Which one of your songs on the new album do you think will be the most difficult to rehearse for a live audience?
I think Fear (Is Not An Option) The song is a little technical, it’s not just 3 chords strumming, and overall it’s something that takes time to make sure we got it right for a live performance.
Why should people listen to the album?
I think it’s just as good as anything else and if ya like new rock music have a listen, let us know what ya think.
