Your latest single you have released:

Our latest single released is called “Hot Damn” and it is the 3rd single from our upcoming album “20” that will be released shortly. The song is a bit slower than what we usually do, but it has a great groove and melody so it still kicks ass!

Your favourite lyric in this song: 

“If you settle for silver you won’t taste the gold” is a good line that kind of says it all!

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

I’m personally really proud of the track “Hand Grenade” from our last album “This Will Leave A Mark”. It is a good energetic sing a long tune that catches on quickly with the audience. 

Your favourite song to play live:

“Turning Me Inside Out” is a live favourite! Lots of fun parts to play on the guitar in that song plus it has a s***ton of energy which gets the audience going.

The song that was the longest to write and why?

We are usually quite fast writing songs and ideas that does not immediately stick usually gets thrown in the bin quite fast. But there are always the songs, or the idea of songs, that sounds great in your head but does not really come out as good when played. If you are patient with the idea then usually you get it right after some time. The opening track, called “The Knife”, from our upcoming album was one of those for me. The idea for the song was in my head for some years but I just could not get the song to work when playing it out loud. But eventually it worked out and it sounds great!

Your most emotional track:

We are not really a band known for any emotional power ballads, so this is a tricky question. Possibly the song “Midnight Strangler” from the album “Right Between The Eyes” which is about some sort of dominatrix choking people, if that ain’t a love song I don’t know what is!

Dream collaboration:

I think us and Danko Jones would be an awesome collab. Lots of energy and cool groove would come out of that one I think! 

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Lot of anticipation and excitement of course before going on stage and then a lot of energy when actually on the stage.

The hardest track to play live: 

No hard tracks, they are all really easy!

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

I’m a travel light kind of guy so I usually take as little stuff as possible with me on tour, (that means less s*** to loose as well…) 

But good headphones are needed, just to be able to be by yourself for a while every now and then. They are also good for blocking out when someone snores like a tractor.

The Best! (I only needed 2 words, I am very efficient!)

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

Being an old metal head “One” by Metallica is like the perfect song, it has everything. It would probably not work in our context however.  

So I have to say “The Age Of Pamparious” by Turbonegro is one of those rock songs that is just sooo good. I would love to have written that just to be able to kick of a concert with it!

What we can look forward to from your band this year: 

As said before we are releasing a new album shortly, called “20”. The name is simply taken from the fact that we are celebrating 20 years as a band this year. It is one killer record and we can’t wait to share it with all of you!

We also have some shows booked to for the celebration and to promote the release as well, in UK, Germany, Spain, Sweden and possibly US.   

So we are keeping busy playing rock and roll!!
