Down Boy – Holly Valance
Today we are going to look at a single that was released in the early noughties by an Australian actress. I actually forgot about this single because the only track that really sticks in your mind by Holly Valance was Kiss Kiss so hearing a track I forgot existed was refreshing.
On the 30th September 2002, Holly Valance released the single Down Boy. It was the second song to be released from her debut album Footprints which was also released the same year. The track was written by Rob Daus, produced by Nellee Hooper and released on the record labels of London and Engine Rooms Music.
A random fact about the song is that British presenter and fashion designer Alexa Chung appears in the video.
The song did reasonably well in the charts and went into the top 10 in Australia (3), Hungary (8), Ireland (8) and Scotland (4). In the UK, the song went into the chart at number 2.
