The Travel Book – Travel Through A Photo – York, United Kingdom

There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

If there is one thing I really love then it is the architecture of certain buildings. I am not a religious person but the interior of churches are usually fascinating and today we are going to look at one that I found incredibly impressive.

When you walk through the doors of York Minster (after paying a ridiculous amount to enter) you are welcomed by this huge room that blows you away as to just how big it actually is. The first thing that will really stand out is the arches as they really make it an impressive space.

This photograph I took as soon as I entered as it blew me away with the view. I wanted to take a photo that portrayed this grandeur and I feel that it does. I really like the way the top is white and the bottom is a goldish colour and it creates a sense of warmth to the image.

I also really like the depth of field is this photograph as the white lights really lead you into this location. When I look at this photograph it reminds me of the greatness of the interior.
