Hello! Tell us about your act ?

Murder Inc performs a comedy murder mystery with a  prize for the detectives who solve the case. Running 8 years and slowly taking over  the North of England one arts centre/theatre/pub/toilet at a time.  

How did you come up with the name of your show that you are taking to Liverpool  Improv Festival?

It was actually the easiest bit of the set up. I knew the show would be  long form and hugely driven by story so I wanted the murder mystery element to be a  vehicle for juicy comedy story telling. Hence Murder Incorportated. Wow it feels weird  saying Murder Inc’s full name, like it’s In trouble with it’s mum.  

Tell us a little bit about your style of show?

It’s a true exploration of ideas, themes  and premises. We will put a murder mystery in almost any and all locations. The rap  sheet includes Ski Lodge, IKEA, The Tudor Courts and Inside The Human Body. I  think in total we have performed over 100 themes in our time.  

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the festival?

Mystery Laugh  featuring one of our very own performers Becky Webb with good friend of Murder Inc Jen Hardy. I do believe they are expecting a guest performer for their show too… I  couldn’t possibly allude to who.  

What is the best thing about performing at the Liverpool Improv festival?

Being in a  city so buzzing with vibrancy and culture you can feel it most everywhere you go. It’s  a city with so much heart and it totally makes sense that it hosts a great Improv  festival with it’s wealth of talent already residing in the city. Plus it’s only 45 minutes  from MCR, our HQ.
